East End Dubs Says to Keep an Eye on These 2 House Artists
Heading up not one, but three labels, East End Dubs has a sense for the artists shaping house music culture into the future. His Eastenderz label in particular has helped further the careers of established artists like Priku, Sidney Charles, and Fabe.
The DJ and producer has his eye on a couple of acts he deems promising in the genre he knows best, however. One is an up-and-comer who goes by Rigzz. In Gray Area’s Spotlight interview, East End Dubs said, “We've been recently working with an artist from Argentina called Rigzz, and he seems to be ticking all the boxes right now.”
Ticking all the boxes is right—Rigzz has had a busy 2022, playing across South America and dropping his Eastenderz release, the Fision EP, earlier this year. His brightly melodic sound offsets deeper, darker tones in a unique exploration of the house genre.
Hailing from Córdoba, Argentina, Rigzz has brought his style to Amnesia Ibiza, Sanity Argentina, PM Open Air, and BNP, where he is a resident DJ. Rigzz is having a moment as he crosses over to become a household name among house heads.
There’s also another producer whom East End Dubs thinks will be right up there with Rigzz sooner than later.
He mentions “a guy from New York called LaRosa” as an artist he’s backing. LaRosa’s father’s classic rock career inspired him to begin making music, which has garnered attention for the ‘90s-inspired minimal sound that DJs have been rinsing as of late. LaRosa is steadily garnering the attention of other tastemakers, receiving support from DJ Mag Brazil and Trommel, and spinning sets for Ibiza Global Radio and Avant Gardner.
“He’s also released quite a few EPs and is going to release one with us soon,” East End Dubs says. “I think he is definitely an up-and-coming artist.”
With a co-sign from East End Dubs, Rigzz and LaRosa are primed for stardom in the international house circuit thanks to their upcoming releases on the multi-hyphenate's label.
