Slumberland
Orlando, Florida
Overview
Added to the mix of Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Orlando week is a festival that is offering the first immersive 21+ resort and shuttle experience in Florida. Slumberland Art & Music Festival is happening from November 10-13, 2022, at the Avanti Palms Resort. Starting a day before the mammoth EDC Orlando and going through the after-hours early Monday, Slumberland has summoned several house and techno icons and a solid lineup of supporting artists and local talent.

Highly respected Swiss-South African deep house artist Nora En Pure, will kick off the pre-party on Thursday night on the Lucid Dream stage. Australian-born live electronic act Cassian, who delivers engaging DJ sets, will provide support. Together, they offer up arguably the best lineup for house heads going into the long weekend.
On Friday, the daytime pool party features Lauren Lane, who got her start in the New York house scene. Headlining the Lucid Dream stage at night is Carl Craig, one of the pioneers of Detroit techno in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Saturday has some notable undercard names including American house and techno artist Mary Droppinz and a veteran in the underground scene, Kevin Knapp.
Slumberland is set to finish strong on its fourth night with one of the most renowned names in tech-house and minimal techno, Paco Osuna. The Spaniard will be supported by another pioneer of Detroit techno, Kevin Saunderson. A highlight undercards is Berlin’s electronic phenom Joplyn.
Dozens of regional artists are also booked. Art and other experiences will be curated by Meow Wolf co-founder Vince Kadlubek, resident artist Sebastian Coolidge, and more. Programming includes pool parties from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and after hours from midnight to 5 a.m. The pre-party will kick off Thursday night at 9 p.m.
Slumberland presents itself as an elevated experience that isn’t in competition, but rather complementary, to EDC Orlando. Those who have been to EDC Orlando or are planning to go know the festival ends relatively early at midnight, which is of course conducive to after partying. Leaving a massive can be time-consuming and expensive. Slumberland poses itself as a solution.
Weekend party pass holders, who will get access to all events at the resort, can hop on complimentary shuttles to and from EDC Orlando at Tinker Field. The shuttle service is not included with single-day passes. For the full experience, opt for the resort package with various room options.
As a first-time festival, Slumberland is an opportunity to escape the crowds and more mainstream events of EDC Orlando week, or better yet, the perfect place to wind down from that.
