Set of the Week: Tale Of Us at Ultra Music Festival 2022

There’s no better way to kick off festival season than with a spine-tingling mix from Tale Of Us. Those who were lucky enough to see the duo’s set at Ultra this year will undoubtedly be telling their grandkids about it in years to come. Widely regarded as one of the world’s biggest dance music festivals, Ultra 2022 was held in Bayfront Park, Miami, and featured 100 artists spread across several stages. 

As global heavyweights in melodic techno, Tale Of Us is a duo requiring no introduction. Their sets never fail to elevate clubs and festivals into a transcendental realm. Carmine Conte and Matteo Milleri met in Milan while studying music production at the SAE Institute. 

Now based in Berlin, the pair’s Afterlife brand is known the world over for mesmerizing events and groundbreaking releases from Stephan Bodzin, Recondite, Mind Against, Agents of Time, and many more. 

Replete with bursts of melodic intensity, avant-garde soundscapes, and driving rhythms, their Ultra set isn’t one to be missed. The visuals are so hypnotic that they swallow you up entirely; you could watch their entire performance on mute and still be hooked from start to finish. 

As always, it looks set to be another busy festival season for the pair, with appearances at Caprices Festival, Terminal V Festival, Kappa FuturFestival, and beyond.
