Overview

On November 1st, we’re excited to welcome Girl Math, the exciting new house music duo formed by two standout artists, Nala and VNSSA, hailing from Miami and Newport Beach! The talented ladies have both been on the rise in the house music circuit since the late 2010s, and their collaboration has quickly garnered attention for its funky and fresh sound and performances.

Girl Math has already been making waves, particularly with their stellar debut at Coachella, where they wowed the crowd with their chemistry and stage presence. Their mini-tour has included other big-league festivals like Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, and Elements Festival, where their energetic shows have become highly anticipated.

Nala, a gifted vocalist and producer, has made a name for herself by effortlessly combining her singing with top-notch production. Her ability to navigate and blend various musical styles has set her apart, earning her respect and admiration from both fans and critics alike.

VNSSA, meanwhile, adds a unique flavor to Girl Math, drawing from her experience as a drummer in indie and rock bands. This background brings a fresh, rhythmic twist to their house beats, giving their music an irresistible groove. Her knack for creating catchy, danceable rhythms has played a big role in shaping the duo’s sensational sound.

As they prepare for their upcoming show at the Chocolate Factory on November 1st, Girl Math continues to showcase the power of creative collaboration. Nala and VNSSA’s combined strengths and shared vision have created something truly special in the world of house music, making them an act you won’t want to miss.

Joining them is QRTR (Meagan Rodriguez), a Brooklyn-based electronic musician, DJ, and film composer known for her innovative sound that fuses deep house, IDM, UK garage, jungle, and techno. Recognized as one of New York’s top indie artists, QRTR has taken the stage at major festivals like Coachella, HARD Summer, Electric Zoo, and Electric Forest and recently completed a sold-out tour with Luttrell.

Her 2021 sophomore album, infina ad nausea, received high praise from outlets like Pitchfork, BBC6, DJ Mag, and Mixmag. QRTR's music has even appeared in the soundtrack for Hulu’s Fire Island, showcasing her range beyond the dance floor.

Also bringing the heat is Miss Pips, a Queens native now based in Miami. After a successful career in accounting, she pivoted to DJing, performing at iconic venues like the Knockdown Center, Avant Gardner, Circle Line, and SLS Hyde Beach. A staple in Miami’s underground music scene, Miss Pips has also played at hotspots like Negroni, 1800 Lucky, and MODE.

Kicking off this epic party is NYC’s Branqueeno, known for setting the vibe at top venues and opening for acts like Deadmau5 and Marshall Jefferson.

The Chocolate Factory, nestled in the heart of Brooklyn, provides the perfect setting for this can’t-miss throwdown. Known for its immersive ambiance and top-tier sound system, the venue is designed to deliver a fully immersive auditory experience. Let Girl Math take the wheel and let’s dance!
