grayscale with Juliet Fox & Caravel

Overview
On Friday, August 16th, Australian-born, Berlin-based techno artist Juliet Fox returns to New York for a long-anticipated performance at The Brooklyn Monarch as part of Grayscale—our event series dedicated to the sounds, spaces, and aesthetics that live between genres, where contrast and nuance define the experience. She’ll also go b2b with Caravel, so plan to stay late night for some quality entertainment.

French techno artist Caravel crafts razor-edged melodies that cut through with intensity and emotion. Her powerful productions have found a home on respected labels like Exhale and Sacred Court, while her high-impact sets have ignited dance floors worldwide, including standout appearances at Respira Festival in Chile, T7 Paris with Fatima Hajji, Madame Loyal XXL in Paris, and Uniclub in Argentina.
Also playing Grayscale is Firebunny, a New York–based hard techno DJ and producer of Chinese and Japanese heritage. An Ivy League graduate, she began with piano, electric guitar, and two punk rock bands before releasing her debut song at 16. It’s a female takeover, with Firebunny completing the lineup.

Juliet’s trajectory began in the clubs of Adelaide, but her musical path truly took shape after relocating to Berlin, where she fully immersed herself in the city’s no-frills techno culture. Over the past few years, Juliet has clocked performances at some of the most respected venues and festivals in the world: DC-10 (as a summer resident in 2023), Amnesia Ibiza, Awakenings, Tomorrowland, Off Sonár, Ultra Miami, Sonus Festival, Space Miami, fabric London, and Watergate. Moreover she’s delivered standout sets at Printworks London, Escape Halloween, and Amsterdam Dance Event, including a high-profile slot at the iconic Gashouder for both the Awakenings and Drumcode showcases.
Her production catalog speaks for itself. With tracks released on Drumcode, Filth on Acid, Kneaded Pains, Second State, Kraftek, and Toolroom, Juliet has consistently put out music that fits club systems as much as it does late-night warehouse sessions. Juliet is also the founder of TREGAMBE, a record label and creative outlet she launched in 2020. Originally intended as a space for one-off tracks that didn’t quite fit the mold, TREGAMBE has grown into a fully curated label, featuring releases from both emerging and established artists. The label's expansion included artists like Marianne, Audioklinik, ANDATA, and Charly Schaller, among others. Juliet’s collaboration with WarinD on Stay With Me and a remix by Charlie Sparks continue to show the label’s edge and grit, focusing on club-ready techno that doesn’t rely on trends.

With over 9 million Spotify streams to her name and releases on both EXIT Soundscape and Armada Music, Juliet’s reach is international, but her foundation is firmly rooted in the underground. Her work continues to resonate with artists like Paco Osuna, Joseph Capriati, Richie Hawtin, and Nicole Moudaber, who regularly support her music and include her on major lineups.
On August 16th, Juliet Fox lands at The Brooklyn Monarch—bringing with her the sound of Berlin basements, Ibizan open-airs, and festival stages across the globe. It’s not just another night out. It’s a chance to experience an artist who’s spent the last decade forging her path through the heart of techno, one track at a time.
