Debut: Shermanology New York Headline

Chart-topping duo Shermanology are coming to New York City for their first-ever headline show on the beautiful rooftop of Superior Ingredients! We can’t wait to welcome you to our next edition of Debut, the event series where we invite exciting, boundary-breaking artists from around the world to take control of the dancefloor in cities in which they’ve never performed or headlined.

Hailing from the isle of Curacao are brother and sister duo Shermanology. The DJ and producer pair’s live sets bring the soul and vibrant culture from their Caribbean-Dutch upbringing and channel it into exciting sounds that inspire plenty of moving and grooving on and off the dancefloor. Their sound is genre bending in the most dynamic sense—spanning UK garage to soulful and tech house, Andy and Dorothy Sherman’s music is as diverse as the support they continue to garner across the dance music scene.

The duo have remixed tracks for and collaborated with Dennis Quin, FISHER, Will Clarke, Eats Everything, Lion Babe, Busta Rhymes, and so many more talented acts in only the last few years. Their 2020 release “Boyz N Da Club” continues to garner airplay, and their collaborative, soulful house cut “Tell You What it Is” with Eats Everything currently boasts over 2 million streams on Spotify. The pair are unstoppable.

The “SoulTec” trailblazers and D’EAUPE label founders grew up watching performances by their family’s successful ‘70s R&B act, the Sherman Brothers. They followed in their footsteps a few decades later.

Dorothy’s voice invokes a certain je ne sais quoi that transports listeners to the heyday of diva house. Her brother Andy contributes his DJ prowess and MC skills—his early foray into the music industry included plenty of experimenting and playing out shows amidst the UK garage scene and Dutch underground circuit.

The pair made their Rawthentic Music debut in 2020 with “Hot,” which received an array of support from DJs around the globe including MK and The Martinez Brothers. The record had a three-week run on Beatport’s tech house charts and caught the attention of one revered producer, Jamie Jones.

Jamie immediately signed Andy and Dorothy’s reverberating Bon Bini EP to his Hot Creations label. The EP showcases the siblings’ innate ability to infuse tech house grooves with soulful vocal work and a little Caribbean flavor. Shermanology will be taking to the stage of Brooklyn venue Superior Ingredients on November 11. Notorious for their enticing roof parties, Superior will host the siblings on The Roof for a day-to-evening soiree. Don’t miss this!
