Dutch producer Franky Rizardo's uplifting spin on tech house has sparked joy on dancefloors from Ibiza to Sydney and back. A European club and festival mainstay, his unique style blurs the lines between techno and house. Gray Area is thrilled to welcome Rizardo to NYC in 2023. He will take the stage at Superior Ingredients on Sunday, February 19. With an immaculate city backdrop right at your feet, you won’t be able to stop yourself from dancing the day away.
Rizardo’s dedication to quality house music and its celebration seems endless. His releases across esteemed imprints like Defected, Toolroom, Spinnin’ Deep, and Nervous have made him a favorite of DJs and dancers alike.
It wasn’t enough to rock massive international stages like fabric London, Amnesia Ibiza, and Tomorrowland. He wanted to carve out a name for himself and his immersive approach to dance music. So in 2015, he co-created FLOW with his buddy Jasper Fioole. FLOW holds vibrant gatherings at unique venues and challenges people towards total embodiment. This state of mindfulness is sometimes called a “flow state.” The events eventually led to the FLOW Freedom Festival in 2017 and LTF (Listen to Flow) Records in 2020.
In his music (and everything else), Rizardo hopes to inspire total immersion in his listeners. With deep roots in philosophy and spirituality, there’s a mindfulness to his work that sets him apart. And it’s a feeling he wants to give to his listeners.
On February 19, Rizardo plays The Roof at Superior Ingredients in Williamsburg. With gorgeous views overlooking the Manhattan skyline, this rooftop lounge will have you dancing on clouds. Fear not the February frosts because 360 degrees of climate-controlled glass covers the dancefloor. Though we think you might be the one heating up the dancefloor.
We can’t wait to celebrate Franky Rizardo's President's Day weekend in New York with you.
Known to many for his energy-driven productions on the likes of Octopus, Voltaire Music, Tech Recovery, and Time Has Changed, Toni Varga shares the lead as one of the most admired artists of the Spanish scene. The former Amnesia Ibiza resident now holds court as one of elrow's chosen few in-house party starters dropping low-end fueled heat at their global experiential events.
Founder of the annual SXM Festival, Julian Prince, has established himself as a noted tastemaker. Yet, even beyond the forward-thinking festival, his productions on Abracadabra Music and Loot Recordings, which pulse with the sunkissed melodics of a tropical sunrise, exemplify deference for peak dancefloor experiences and bright, moody soundscapes.
Hirozawa is known for many things, including acting in the Disney+ series She-Hulk. Fast becoming a staple of New York hotspots like, we're excited to welcome him to the decks for the first time alongside fellow New Yorker Matt Battalion.
