Skream, Deeper Purpose - Ezoo Afters

Legendary UK DJ-producer Skream and tech-house mastermind Deeper Purpose will headline the official Electric Zoo after-party at The Room at Superior Ingredients on Saturday, September 2nd.

Skream’s tenure has been an enjoyable ride for fans around the globe. He initially started as a forerunner of dubstep in the mid-aughts before transitioning to a more underground house and techno sound in the early-2010s, and most recently is leaning into nu-disco, subsequently leading to a new age of Skream.

Following the launch of one of his biggest releases, “Midnight Request Line,” in 2005, Skream found success across multiple musical categories, collaborating with prominent grime artists Wiley and Skepta and adding his dark, dizzying dubstep stylings to remixes for songs like La Roux’s “In for the Kill.”

A decade later, Skream’s career has evolved again, widening his fanbase eager to tap into his fresh sound riddled with dance music's stirring, soulful, and authentic roots. Ahead of his Skreamizm 8 album (out September 15th), he's released a new single, "Thinking Of You." You can hear his monologue throughout the track, complemented by beautiful chords and flawless breaks. Skream has proven he isn’t a one-trick pony – and he still has many musical gems (and surprises) up his sleeve.

In 2022, this Londoner made the rounds in John Summit’s sets with “Party Diva”—his anthemic debut on Off The Grid Records.

In January 2023, Deeper Purpose released the certified club banger “Shake It.” The mood-lifting single is drenched with punchy, shuffling drums, a strong, grooving bassline, and entrancing spoken vocals. This past spring, Deeper Sound released his danceable, festival-ready cut “Activate,” further cementing his trademark unconventional sound and allowing him to stand out.

Deeper Purpose’s bouncy, spellbinding approach to tech-house is refreshing and will undoubtedly make us ‘shake it’ during a fiery performance.
