Doubleheader with Joshwa & Deeper Purpose

On February 18, 2023, Gray Area brings two of the UK's most exciting young artists, Joshwa and Deeper Purpose, to The Room at Superior Ingredients. It's all part of our Doubleheader event series that pairs two similar artists with distinct fan bases. Each artist will play solo and then close the night out with an epic and rare b2b set. Joshwa and Deeper Purpose have been on an absolute tear in the last year. And while they are beautifully unique artists, their styles will blend perfectly for an extraordinary night of bouncing tech house.

Joshwa's infectiously danceable party tech not only bring a sense of joy and nostalgia to the dancefloor, they've led him to claim the top spot as the number one best-selling tech house artist on Beatport in 2022. You should recognize his name from the 2021 collaboration with Lee Foss, "My Humps." The Fergie sampling tech house stomper was one of the most sought-after IDs for a year before its release. However, his catalog includes loads of hip-oscillating grooves like his recent Toni Braxton sampling collab with Martin Ikin, "Take Me," and his disco-tinged Black Book Records debut, "Miracles."

Coming off of a storming 2022 touring season that brought him to EDC Las Vegas, elrow, Eden Ibiza, and a solo Australia and New Zealand tour, he enters 2023 with an avalanche of even more impressive bookings, including Fisher's recently announced TRIIP Festival in Malta. He'll also be making his debut on Jamie Jones' Hot Creations with "Bass Go Boom," an ID Jones has been playing out to thousands worldwide.

Like Joshwa, Deeper Purpose owes at least some of his success to the mentorship of Lee Foss, who released the Manipulation EP on Repopulate Mars in 2019. He's since plunged even further into house music stardom with releases on Fisher's Catch & Release, Mark Knight's Toolroom, John Summit's Off The Grid, Insomniac, elrow, and Tomorrowland Music. The former Egg London resident also made his Ibiza debut in 2022, supporting Fisher at his Hi Ibiza residency and playing alongside Joel Corry at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel.

Both artists will converge at Superior Ingredients to present a night of dynamic and high-energy house. We all know the sonic magic permeates the room when two artists meld their styles with a B2B.
