Overview

Our day one, LP Giobbi, sold out her show on Friday, December 30th, so we decided to extend the party. Right after we wrap it up on The Roof, we're taking it inside The Room at Superior Ingredients for round two.

It's a Doubleheader with the incomparable LP Giobbi and Grammy-nominated Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. What's a Doubleheader, you ask? It's a unique opportunity for two headliners to share the spotlight through three incredible sets. First, LP and TEED will play separately, showcasing their individual styles. Then, they'll join forces for a first-of-its-kind b2b set to close the night. Every dance music fan knows that the art of the b2b is best expressed when two singular artists can fully engage in that intricate dance of communication that creates the most epic and memorable sets. This will undoubtedly be on of those magic moments.

TEED's ability to transcend genre boundaries while remaining versatile enough to keep a dancefloor engaged and expressive in any environment is a testament to his brilliance as an artist. This singular set of qualities is in perfect balance with LP Giobbi's unmatched capacity for intertwining the timeless qualities of decades of uplifting music with the weight and joy of classic and modern house music. Seeing these two perform together will surely be an experience you won't soon forget.

The value of a Doubleheader goes even deeper than the unique b2b set that will complete the journey. It begins with two separate sets by each of these unparalleled dance music phenoms.

Even before TEED released his critically acclaimed debut album Trouble in 2012, his trademark dance pop meets underground house sound had proved compelling. In 2011 he provided a deep late-night remix treatment for Lady Gaga's "Marry The Night." And he also collaborated with Blur and Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn in the same year. Since, TEED has spent a decade traveling the world as a DJ, collaborating with artists like Boys Noize, Mark Ronson, SG Lewis, Anna Lunoe, and Elderbrook as a songwriter and producer, and remixing for the likes of Disclosure, Damian Lazarus, and Gorgon City. His recently released sophomore album, When the Lights Go, delivered an ambitious display of cross-genre versatility soaked in powerful storytelling and dramatic synth work.

Like TEED, LP Giobbi's roots lay somewhere between her classical training as a pianist and her hippie-tinged upbringing—her parents were both self-professed "Deadheads." This unique upbringing imbued a sense of creativity that marries the best of the worlds of jazz, classic rock, and Chicago house. It's impressive enough that she's worked with everyone from Portugal. The Man to Diplo and DJ Tennis, remixed for the likes of Dom Dolla and Kx5 (deadmau5 and Kaskade) and released on every major house imprint from Defected to Armada. She also taken her career full circle with an official remix of Jerry Garcia's (the Grateful Dead frontman) "Deal."

December's Doubleheader is a unique chance to get a headstart on your New Year's Eve plans and spend it with two of dance music's most unique and accomplished artists.
