Shermanology Presents D'EAUPE [USA Debut]

You all know by now that Shermanology, the dynamic sibling DJ duo, are a cherished favorite within the el row family, legendary Defected, and especially us here at Gray Area. From headlining shows at some of our most beloved New York venues such as Musica, Superior Ingredients and Brooklyn Mirage, this time around, we’ve invited the blood-bound creatives to lead us on a rhythmic journey through the authentic sounds of their independent record label and party brand D’EAUPE for their USA Debut, at The Chocolate Factory NYC, October 5, 2024.

With the imprint embodying the true authenticity of the style, love, and energy that set them apart from the rest, Shermanology are bringing the sound of Curaçao back to the dancefloor, and paying homage to their Caribbean roots in every corner of what they do.

Since its inception in 2021, D’EAUPE has seen contributions from artists like Demuir, an official remix of Fisher’s "It’s A Killer" by Shermanology themselves, and their father Tony Sherman, a Dutch singer who had a string of hits in the 1970s and 1980s and whom Andy and Dorothy credit as their number one source of inspiration growing up.

Shermanology has experienced considerable success outside of D’EAUPE, delivering noteworthy releases on pinnacle labels like Cuttin Headz, Hot Creations, and Catch and Release. Additionally, the talented duo has showcased their remixing skills by collaborating with music icons such as Todd Edwards, Busta Rhymes, and Tiesto.

Since the release of their independent track "Boyz N Da Club" in 2021, it’s been non-stop for Shermanology, as they climb the ranks of house music and beyond. While it's uncommon for every song an artist releases to reach the top, Shermanology has consistently delivered music that resonates with dancefloors worldwide and earns a place on the most prestigious DJ charts. You’ve gotta give it to them!

Joining the sibling duo for the show is Toronto’s own Demuir, known for his soulful, funky house sound, which has earned him a prominent place in the underground music scene. With releases on top labels like Hot Creations, Rawthentic, Desolat, and his own Purveyor Underground imprint, Demuir continues to deliver heat.

He has played at iconic parties like elrow, Space, and House of Yes. A regular at Jamie Jones' Paradise parties and a host to talents like Carlo Lio, Mark Farina, and Kenny Dope, Demuir is the perfect addition to this show.

Joining Demuir is none other than Mr. Diamond, a longtime resident of the Gray Area family. He had the pleasure of making the first release on Gray Area's Omakase label and has shared the stage with top names like Guti, Sidney Charles, Matroda, Westend, and Shermanology.

With releases on renowned labels such as Solid Grooves, Crosstown Rebels, and Cuttin' Headz, Mr. Diamond continues to make his mark in the industry.

Finalizing the lineup is DJ Q, a Huddersfield-born artist known for his hit ‘U Wot,’ and 'Vibsing Ting,' his six-year stint as a DJ on BBC Radio 1Xtra, crafting over a hundred remixes, and touring extensively across the UK and European festival circuits, including a headline show at Electric Brixton. DJ Q’s blend of house, garage, and jungle, combined with his commanding stage presence, completes this stellar lineup.
