Debut: Chapter & Verse Open-Air with Palazzo & Mr. Diamond

Join us on August 13 as Gray Area presents the next installment of our beloved Debut series with the fast-rising UK tech house ingenue, Chapter & Verse. Fresh off the release of his massive chart-topping collaboration with Dimitri Vegas and Steve Aoki, “Friends,” he’s returning to The States and playing his first New York headline show with us on The Roof at Superior Ingredients.

Despite only releasing his first record, "Dreams," in 2020, Chapter & Verse (aka Barry Pearson) has clearly mastered the art of production. His electrifying fusion of late 90s rave and the storied Balearic era bubbles with a fiercely future-forward aesthetic that has left dancers breathless around the world. He’s released music at a staggering rate, dropping nearly 100 records in just three years on some of the most respected labels in dance music including Gorgon City’s Realm, Insomniac, and Ministry of Sound.

It’s not just Barry’s soaring melodies, seductive vocal samples, and impossibly funky basslines that have made house heads fall in love with him. His effervescent personality seals the deal.

He’s a social media star, known for his authenticity, kindness, and willingness to connect personally with his evergrowing community of followers presents a level of accessibility that’s unmatched in a world of glitz and glamour. And while he’s only got a handful of years of DJing under his belt, his skills behind the decks are celebrated as he’s dropped the heat for festivals and clubs like EDC Vegas, Ministry of Sound, and Avalon Los Angeles.

BERK, a standout in the G-House scene, has shared stages with giants like David Guetta, KSHMR, and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike since his 2018 debut. Fusing hip-hop with electrifying house beats, he's lit up NYC venues from Schimanski to Electric Zoo. Recently, his track “CONTROL” skyrocketed to #4 on the Beatport charts, confirming his rising dominance and will fully display his talents to get the day started.

We are also excited to have DJ Susan, a standout in San Diego's dance scene, joining us to kick off the dancefloor. Renowned for his spirited tech house beats. His chart-toppers "TALKIN" and "Secrets" have resonated globally, championed by legends like Claude VonStroke and Calvin Harris. With releases on elite labels like Spinnin’ Records and Repopulate Mars, DJ Susan is ready to take his talents to the East Coast on our stage.

Directly supporting Chapter & Verse will be Brooklyn based producer & DJ, Palazzo. His upcoming debut EP Canvas will feature two enthralling tracks, "Sun Gazing" and "Canvas." Scheduled for release on August 16, Canvas is poised to showcase Palazzo’s new and anticipated sonic artistry. In late June, Palazzo made his debut performance, sharing the stage with Patrice Baumel at Superior Ingredients.

Closing the night off is Miami-based producer & DJ, Mr. Diamond, who has gained support from industry legends like Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati, Chris Stussy, Toman, and Franky Rizardo, and boasts a catalog of quality releases on astounding labels like Michael Bibi and PAWSA's Solid Grooves, Damian Lazarus's Crosstown Rebels, The Martinez Brothers' Cuttin' Headz, and Seb Zito's Seven Dials.
