Overview

On the 27th of July 2024, Monegros Desert Festival will spring to life once again, captivating over 50,000 attendees with its unique audiovisual universe and promising an unforgettable lifelong experience.

The festival boasts an impressive lineup of production, sound, and innovative architecture, reaffirming its commitment to providing the most intense, extreme, and immersive desert festival experience imaginable. It features a robust 22-hour marathon of non-stop music, with over 150 artists representing a wide array of musical genres. Key attractions include hip-hop and techno in various forms, as well as dub, reggae, trance, drum n bass, and the eagerly anticipated psy trance, highlighted this year by a new stage dedicated exclusively to this genre.

Juan Arnau remarks

"Each iteration of Monegros highlights our dedication to our audience. We are delighted to host them and strive to excel during the exhilarating 22 hours of the festival. Channeling our creativity into the event is both challenging and rewarding."

Cruz Arnau also comments

"We continually strive to broaden our musical spectrum, and this year, we are especially thrilled to introduce a new stage devoted to psy trance. Our family, including my brother and me, have dedicated our lives to exploring new genres, artists, and culturally rich festivals. Discovering psy trance was a revelation, and its addition has been warmly received. The new venue fits perfectly."

Joining the festival's dynamic lineup is the British duo, Saul Milton and Will Kennard, known as Chase & Status, who were recently awarded the “Producer Of The Year” at the BRIT Awards. As stalwarts of the UK electronic music scene, they will perform a live set at Monegros, blending breakbeat, dubstep, and drum and bass.

"Once again, we are excited to showcase such a variety of sounds in the desert. With techno at the forefront, we continue to incorporate hip hop, drum n bass, dub, house, disco, and more; including the significant addition of psy trance, one of the most popular sounds worldwide,"

says Music Director Victor de la Serna.

Monegros would not be complete without the contributions of national hip-hop talents, which is why the Madrid duo Natos y Waor are returning by popular demand with their energetic live performance.

Other notable additions include a debut performance by Astrix, the world's foremost psytrance DJ, who is set to ignite the Aragonese desert with his beats.

Featuring a more subtle and underground vibe, the charismatic house producer, DJ Tennis, a veteran who will debut in Fraga in 2024, is prepared to drop sonic bombs that match his legendary status.

The event also showcases the versatility of English DJ Daniel Pearce, aka Eats Everything, the distinctive vibe of Chelina Mahuhutu, the skilled German DJ tINI, the energy of James Hype, the fresh techno beats of Traumer, the artistic flair of José Rodriguez, and the multifaceted talents of Fox Stevenson and Hugel.

As it celebrates its 31st anniversary, Monegros will expand its number of stages, accommodating a larger array of artists. This growth emphasizes the significance of b2b sets in this edition, featuring collaborations such as Assailants (Ben Sims b2b Truncate), Chris Liberator b2b D.A.V.E The Drummer, among others.

The resident artists, a distinctive feature of the Arnau family, like De La Swing, Marc Maya, Ion Pananides, Alex Pott, and Baum, will also contribute their musical prowess.
